Chernobyl Diaries spoilers

Chernobyl Diaries is a good nuclear film. It is a horror movie with plenty of suspense. The following content below will discuss Chernobyl Diaries spoilers. The spoilers are not your typical narration that delay the major plot points. We will mention the major spoilers, including ending spoilers to help you understand the movie. Beware that major spoilers from the Chernobyl Diaries movie will be revealed. Read at your own risk.

***Major Spoilers***

Chernobyl Diaries is not a paranormal movie. Most horror movie fans are thus treated to the zombie genre. Past Prypiat residents who stayed behind suffered from radiation fallout. Science experiments conducted on the survivors nonetheless involved the government. They know full well that these Prypiat residents transformed into zombies.

Chris and Paul are brothers. Chris is the younger, more responsible brother. On the opposing side, Paul is the troublemaker older brother usually known for getting into trouble. Paul lives in an environment that compliments his party ways. Chris is making an important decision to propose to Natalie in Moscow. We learn this never happens since the couple are the second and third to die in the movie.

The city of Prypiat has low radiation levels. However, Chernobyl produces high radiation levels near Reactor #4. Reactor #4 exploded in 1986, causing a radiation cloud to release into the atmosphere (spread across Eastern Europe and modern day Russia. Nuclear plant workers and their families living in Prypait were forced to evacuate immediately. Chernobyl Diaries is a fictional movie. The 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster is real. Prypiat was abandoned due to the high radiation levels deeming the region a hazard zone.

100 percent of the movie cast died in Chernobyl Diaries. Zombies killed Uri, Chris, Natalie, Michael, Zoe, and Amanda. Russian soldiers shoot and kill Paul, whose radiation poison would have killed him sooner than later. No cast member survives the nuclear film.

Chernobyl Diaries is a nuclear/zombie/conspiracy/thriller film. The genres work well together to keep the plot moving forward. Thus, Chernobyl Diaries depends on the 1986 nuclear disaster site to connect the dots.

The zombies push the van over. Chris is probably eaten, while Natalie survives long enough to die. The former Prypiat resident, now zombies, attempt to attack Paul, Amanda, Michael, and Zoe toward the underground shaft. Michael is eaten. Zoe quickly follows.

The Russian soldiers shoot and kill Paul. Why? He is trespassing. In our opinion and speculation, the same exact outcome would happen if private citizens trespassed on Area 51 in Nevada. Paul advanced forward, possibly alerting the Russian soldiers to shoot him. Maybe the soldiers assume Paul and Amanda are zombies too. The radiation burned away their facial skin and practically blinded their vision.

Amanda is killed to keep the experiment top secret. Nobody knows her whereabouts. Scientists know that she was apprehended near Reactor #4, a highly radioactive area. They believe Amanda is a risk to their experiments. Amanda is locked in a room with many zombies waiting to eat her body apart.

The twist ending reveals Chernobyl as a testing facility. Zombies instead of paranormal activity deal with the major twist. Former residents survive on eating living human flesh and possibly scavenging for animals.

Uri is never actually identified as dead. We see a zombie eating a raw corpse. Prior to Uri going missing, he kicked aide a burning flame to disclose evidence of life. His facial expression looks somewhat sneaky and deceiving. Does he lure people into Prypiat as food? Or did Uri die the night prior? They only find his radio and fresh human flesh? We think Uri died. There are several twists to consider.

Overall, Chernobyl Diaries is a good movie with plenty of real scares. It is unlike the deconstruction/satire execution that makes fun of the horror genre. We would rather watch unpredictable movies that make sense. Hopefully, the Chernobyl Diaries spoilers help you to better understand the movie. Chernobyl Diaries movie tagline: "Experience the Fallout".
