Paranormal Activity 4 spoilers

Paranormal Activity 4 opened this weekend. The paranormal movie failed to meet box office projections. Maybe the deceptive movie trailer with moviegoers screaming and jumping out of their seats influenced the weekend box office. We have Paranormal Activity 4 spoilers ready.

There is not much to reveal, except possibly the shocking ending that adds another strange twist to the Paranormal Activity movie franchise. If you haven't watched Paranormal Activity 4, avoid reading the major spoilers below. Some of the scenes you see in the movie trailer aren't shown in the movie.

***Movie Spoiler***

Katie killed her sister and kidnaps her nephew Hunter. She disappears with Hunter. We open in Carlsbad, California, a city near San Diego. Alex and her family live in an above middle-class neighborhood.

Wyatt plays in a soccer game. Alex's family watch the game. However, Alex notices a strange box standing around the sidelines. Alex describes Robbie as a creepy kid.

We are introduced to Ben, Alex's boyfriend. Alex invites Ben to join her adolescence gathering. Ben makes subtle comments to thrown hints at Alex.

Alex's family accepts Robbie into their home. Robbie's mother is admitted into the hospital for a week.

Alex's boyfriend Ben activates a recording device on the laptop computers. Ben and Alex can review footage recorded in Alex's home, even unexplained movement and apparitions.

Robbie keeps talking to an imaginary friend. He also crawls into bed with Alex while she is sleeping. Robbie seems to pop up without warning.

Strange streaks of light emit from the footage. The audience begins to see shadows passing by. We see the routine PA scares. The strobe light effect reveals an entity sitting next to Robbie.

Alex's mother chops up vegetables with a knife, only to discover the knife disappeared. Later, the knife falls from above to almost stab Alex's father.

Wyatt is adopted. The entity tells Wyatt he is adopted. It also tries to convince him that he is Hunter. We continue to see strange events. Wyatt enters Alex's room. She begins to levitate under some kind of possession device that we see often in exorcism movies.

While Wyatt is taking a bath, we see him pushed under the water for more than a minute. The mother never suspects anything out of the ordinary.

Alex is locked inside the garage. She tries to escape. All the doors lock. The car mysteriously turns on, filling the space with deadly carbon monoxide. Alex is in distress, barely clinging on. She enters the car and smashes out of the garage. Of course, Alex is lectured for her actions.

Katie is revealed to be Robbie's mother. She enters the home, though we feel she has supernatural powers to switch between visible and invisible forms. Alex's mother investigates the strange sounds. Katie walks up the stairs.

The mother returns to the dining room. She is suddenly tossed into the air and slammed face down on the cement floor. Katie acknowledges that Alex's mother is dead. She hides the body.

Ben visits the home. He wants to discuss the strange shape drawn on Wyatt. It has a demon background. Ben turns on Alex's computer. Katie appears next to Ben. She breaks his neck.

Alex enters her room. She thinks it's strange to find her computer open and compromised. She calls Ben. His phone rings inside her closet. Alex is scared, although she knows Ben enjoys playing pranks.

Alex is thrown around her room soon after finding Ben dead. She rushes after her father, who she finds at Robbie's home. He is dragged across the ground, and then is violently killed.

Katie approaches Alex. Alex hides inside an abandoned room. Katie breaks the door down, appearing as a vicious female demon. Alex climbs out the window. She notices Wyatt standing outside. He is speechless and in a trance. Alex attempts to get his attention. Wyatt is frozen in his tracks.

Without warning, we see hundreds of female demons behind. The demon ritual is set, which Wyatt will probably be instructed to sacrifice Alex since she is a virgin.

The End

Sinister spoilers

Sinister arrived this weekend to start the Halloween month off with a good scare. The possession movie gave moviegoers one of the best horror movie experiences in recent time. If you haven't watched the movie, beware that major spoilers are going to be revealed in this spoiler post. Sinister spoilers follow below.

***Movie Spoiler***

Ellison moves into a murder home with his family. He is a crime novelist who wrote Kentucky Blood. His two books following Kentucky Blood failed to capture an audience. Ellison desperately needed a hit to relaunch his career. He risked his family and his safety to move into home involved in a murder crime.

Four family members were hanged and one girl went missing. Ellison pieces together the clues to organize the sequence of events. He discovers a movie box up in the attic. Ellison watches the Super 8 movies, which the first film opens with four people hanging on a tree. He compiles the evidence to plot the case.

Ellison investigates too far into the case. He finds a strange figure in the drawings. In the drawings, the children identify the unknown figure as a monster. We learn this evil entity standing in a specific location is Bagul, a Pagan deity known as a Christian demon.

Bagul's history goes back to the Babylonian times. He is referred as the eater of children. Bagul consumes children souls to strengthen his powers.

Every time Ellison disposes of the film footage, the movie box returns to the attic again. Ellison explains his strange encounters with the Deputy. The Deputy believes in the occult, metaphysical and supernatural. He claims he would never live in the home knowing that another family died there.

The Deputy asks Ellison if his wife knows about the murders. Ellison  tells the Deputy she doesn't know. The Deputy is shocked and surprised to discover the wife is left out in the dark. It is a discussion he would want to avoid. The Deputy refers Ellison to a local professor that deals with religious studies.

Ashley drew a picture of the dead girl on the wall. The dead girl tells Ashley that her father is writing a book on the murder case. This is when things begin to go haywire. Ellison's wife finds out about the murders. They have a big fight concerning the motivation behind the book and the strange events. It is learned that Trevor has drawn pictures of the dead family hanging on the tree.

The groups of children are afraid of Bagul. We see the children running around the home, albeit Ellison can't see them in physical form. Ellison climbs up into the attic to find the dead kids watching the film. They put their fingers up to their mouth to hush him, implying they're each hiding a secret. Ellison sees Bagul and falls down the stairs. The movie box is thrown down on the floor.

Ellison rushes outside to burn the movie box in a pit of fire. He yells at his wife to gather the children right away. They leave the home as quickly as possible. The Sheriff pulls Ellison over for speeding. Nonetheless, the Sheriff lets Ellison go since he discovers there won't be any book on the murders.

Ellison and his family make the transition back into the previous home. The real secret is that we see the movie box again. The Deputy warns Ellison to be especially careful since the previous families died at the next home they moved into after leaving the disturbing homes. We realize the pattern.

The professor informed Ellison that Bagul is extremely dangerous. He shows one drawing that the last remaining copy. The Pagan belief is that Bagul can possess people through the images and drawings. Bagul possessed people to kill others. These possessed people killed their family under Bagul's command.

Ellison finds an envelope with film end cuts. He splices the ends together. This is the moment in which Ellison watches the missing children from the families commit the murders. They film the murders with a Super 8 camera. After committing the murders, the children face the camera and put their fingers up to their lips.

Ellison walks up to his desk to drink his coffee. He discovers green glowing contents. He reads a note drawn in crayon that says sweet dreams daddy. Before Ellison can comment, he falls to the ground.

Ashley walks around with a Super 8 camera. She is lugging an ax in her other hand. We realize then that Ashley will kill her family the same way. He tells her father Ellison, "Daddy, I will make you famous again" (not exact but same meaning). We hear the ax cut to black. In the hallway, blood is splattered throughout.

Ashley painted his favorite unicorn pictures in blood. We see the gruesome horror. Ashley finishes up drawing the picture of her family cut into pieces. This conveys the scene of the crime. Ashley names the last Super 8 video, "House Painting 12." All the previous films are named after a family event, though the name is a trick to make the next viewer watch the film:
  • Sleep Time
  • Pool Party
  • Lawn Work
  • BBQ
  • Hanging Out
  • House Painting 12
The Oswalt family die a gruesome death. Ashley plays the film. The children are drawn to the internal screen. They run away from Bagul. Bagul appears right behind Ashley. He lift the girl up, and then disappears in the film. Sinister ends with images of Bagul in ancient images.

The End

The Possession spoilers

The Possession movie debuted in movie theaters today. We can honestly say this is the best exorcism movie to enter the movie box office in years. If you haven't watched The Possession, take a few hours out of your busy schedule to see this exorcism movie. Beware that we are serving up spoilers below.

***Movie Spoiler***

An old woman refuses to open the Dibbuk box. She turns up the music to drown the Hebrew chants. An evil demonic spirit who is the taker of child souls is trapped inside the box.

The woman walks over to the box with a hammer. She attempts to destroy the box, but the demonic spirit throws her body around the dining room like a rag doll. The evil spirit eventually kills the old woman, crushing her skull against a glass table.

The old woman's son finds his mother dead. He yells and cries out. He sells away his mother's possessions at a yard sale. Emily asks her father to buy her the old antique box. Across the street, a female neighbor stares at Emily in weird way. Through the window, an old man with bandages on his face yells out. The woman immediately closes the curtains. Emily watches these two people show fear.

Emily opens the box that same night. She puts on the ring. She inspects the box to find a moth, a tooth, and a few other possessions. This is no ordinary box. It is obvious this box is evil.

Emily begins to feel weird. She tells her sister she doesn't feel like herself. The following events occur in The Possession, albeit they are not in sequential order:
  • Emily is seen eating pancakes too fast. She keeps stabbing the pancakes and eating them really fast. Underneath the table, the pancake scene reveals to us that her leg has a limp or some profound movement that is not hers. The leg and the strange eating alerts us she is beginning her early possession.
  • Emily stabs her father with the fork. She has no clue as to the reason she stabbed her father's hand. He dismisses her from the table.
  • The demon box opens up and communicates with Em.  She is wearing the ring that another person put inside the Dubbuk box. Therefore, the possession will take its course to complete the transformation.
  • There is a moth infestation inside Em's room. The moth is a clear sign of evil. A locus conveys the devil. A moth has a connection to the devil.
  • Em begins to gag. She looks inside her moth to find two fingers poking around. The demon spirit is growing inside the young girl.
  • Clyde visits his old home to read scripture from the old Hebrew Bible. Em's demon flips the pages, and then uses telepathy to project the Bible across the room. She has an evil stare, though tears pour from her eyes.
  • A classmate steals Em's bag. He attempts to open the box. She beats the pulp out of the boy. The teacher tries to restrain the violent Em.
  • The demon spirit kills Em's teacher seconds after she opens the box.
  • Em retrieves the box in a dumpster. The female spirit tells Em to punish her father in Hebrew. She refuses. The moths enter Em's mouth.
  • Clyde visits a professor to request information on the box. The Dybbuk box is said to be evil. It contains a dark demon spirit we see often in The Astral Hell of the subplanes.
  • Em holds a tooth he got from the box. Brett asks her what she has in her hand. She looks evil. He inspects the tooth. Her face begins to morph, with a hand pushing on the cheek and her eye showing only white. She tells Brett she hates him like she did her father.
  • Clyde drives to New York City. He enters the Jewish community, where he meets Tzadok. The elder Jews are afraid of the Dibbuk box. They move away from the box, conveying it's extremely evil. Clyde cries for help, literally tearing up. The Jewish guys refuse to take part in the exorcism, as there is fear the demon spirit can attack and kill them.
  • Tzabok agrees to help Clyde save his daughter. He needs to know the demon name. The demon name is revealed behind the glass (can't remember name).
  • Em has a scary moment with making Brett's teeth fall out. His teeth rip out. The wind picks up, making Em look evil like The Omen devil kid.
  • Tzabok performs a Jewish exorcism on the physical therapy floor. Clyde, Stephanie and Hannah must put a personal items of theirs inside the box. Clyde puts a necklace with his wedding ring in the box. Hannah cuts off a piece of her hair. Stephanie places a personal possession in the box.
  • Tzabok begins chanting Hebrew verses and a prayer. Em grows agitated.
  • The demonic spirit reveals its true form to everyone. Em's face changes into an evil look such as The Exorcist movie and The Rite ending. She attacks Tzaboth, strangling his neck to where she almost suffocates him to death. She exhibits supernatural powers.
  • Em crouches down with an evil demon face. Her eyes change colors, then become pale white.
  • Clyde chases after Em. He finds his daughter inside a morgue with deceased bodies on gurneys.
  • Em keeps repeating the same phrase about being sorry to her dad. However, the voice changes to the demon spirits tone. He tells the demon to take him.
  • Clyde's cell phone light goes out. Em climbs above him. We don't the entire scene unfold.
  • In a room, Clyde and Em are hugging. Tzabok feels there is something wrong. He begins chanting the Hebrew verses again. It is revealed Clyde is now possessed. His leg appears like Em's leg in the pancake scene.
  • Clyde is thrown across the room. He is pinned up against the wall. The demon begins to exist his mouth. It looks like a small demon crawling out his mouth, and onto the ground.
  • Tzabok finds the ring spinning on the ground. He seals the box with draping a white Jewish linen over it.
  • The family is saved.
  • The twist ending involves the ring. Tzabok is driving Clyde's BMW. He never returned the ring back into the box. The exorcism is incomplete. With the Dibbuk box on the front seat, Tzabok drives down a residential street. At the last intersection, a truck crushes the car.
  • Bystanders search the car wreckage. It is obvious Tzabok is dead. The wreckage scattered down the street.
  • We hear a female voice chanting in Hebrew.
  • The Dibbuk box is perfectly intact. It sits on the side of the road next to the wreckage.
