Dark Knight Rises spoilers are in. What a wild ride in the ending. Batman leaves with the atom bomb away from the city. He takes a deep breath, knowing his end is near. This is the ultimate sacrifice to save Gotham.

The atom bomb blows out in the ocean. Gotham City is saved. Batman dies in the blast. Gordon honors Batman at his grave site. The city unveils a Batman statue.

Wayne estates are split up. Alfred is left with part of Wayne's fortune. Blake quits the force.

Alfred feels as if he failed the Wayne family. He cries. Wayne's home is given to the orphanage children.

Gordon tries to convince Gordon to reconsider sticking with the force. Blake wants the city to know who saved them. Gordon responds that the Bat-man saved us.

In the end, Blake goes to the Bat Cave while Alfred sees Bruce and Selena sitting across him at the cafe. Bruce smiles at Afred. Alfred finds relief knowing Bruce is happy. He didn't fail Bruce's parents. Another twist hits us. Bruce is alive!

Blake slides into the Bat Cave entrance. It appears he will assume a vital role. The Dark Knight Rises ends with the Bat Cave rising, as Blake is likely to become the next major character.
